Taevaskoja camp rules

The Taevaskoja camp rules are there to make every child feel safe and comfortable at camp. At camp we spend several days together  – we share rooms and spaces, take part in joint activities and spend time in nature. To make sure everyone has a good time here, we have written down some important agreements.

  1. At camp, the child is friendly, helpful and honest
  2. The child follows the daily schedule and the house rules and follows the instructions of the camp counsellor/instructor
  3. The child keeps their bed and room tidy
  4. The child treats the camp’s property and equipment with care
  5. The camp grounds may only be left together with a camp counsellor
  6. Money and valuables may be brought to camp only with the parent’s permission and at the child’s own responsibility.
  7. The camp is not responsible for the loss of or damage to money, phones, jewellery or other valuables. We recommend not bringing valuables to camp, or handing them to a camp counsellor for safekeeping.
  8. A mobile phone may be brought to camp, but on arrival it must be handed to the group’s camp counsellor for safekeeping. The phone can only be used during the designated phone time.
  9. Tobacco products, tobacco-like products, alcohol and other intoxicants or prohibited substances are not allowed at camp. If a young person brings medication, it must be handed to a camp counsellor for safekeeping together with clear instructions for use.
  10.  In the event of a fire or other emergency, inform the camp staff and gather at the agreed meeting point.
  11. If a child causes material damage at camp, the costs are covered by the parent
  12. If a child does not follow the camp rules, the parent will be contacted
  13. In the event of deliberate or repeated breaches of the rules, the camp may ask the parent to collect the child. In this case, the cost of the camp place will not be refunded.
  14. We ask parents to read through the camp rules together with their child before the camp begins. This makes it easier for the child to understand what taking part in camp means and which agreements must be followed.

We reserve the right to make changes to the camp rules.
